What the parent is reviewing
Chimpal proposes to collect a privacy-safe child profile—screen name, optional age, up to five favourite-topic slugs, and learning style—and structured learning records such as explored topics, visit counts, summaries, and inferred interests.
How it would be used and disclosed
The data personalises shared early-learning sessions and Parent Zone insights. Supabase stores adult identity and the caregiver-owned data graph; Vercel hosts the app; During the closed adult test, Anthropic receives test questions, bounded conversation context and fictional learning preferences through the server-side proxy, not the account email. Choice and rights
The parent may refuse and create no child profile, or later review, export, correct, stop future collection, delete one profile, or delete the whole account. Refusal leaves only the adult Supabase Auth account until it is deleted or the parent returns.
Choosing what Chimpal builds next
Eleven unfinished activity ideas offer an optional Yes/No choice. Chimpal keeps one editable service-side choice for that browser for up to 90 days using a hashed random browser token. The browser stops using its local copy after 90 days and removes expired values when the activity catalog next opens or when browser data is cleared. The vote is not linked to the adult account, a child profile, learning records, Parent Zone insights, or recommendations.
Remembered missions and Buddy Moments
A grown-up may separately choose “Yes, we’ll do this together” for an approved off-screen activity. Chimpal then keeps a reminder for up to 30 days. When the family returns, the grown-up may acknowledge that they participated together—without uploading proof—to reveal one child-facing Buddy Moment sticker and add the activity’s first completion date to Parent Zone. The grown-up may remove a reminder, correct a completion, export the records, or delete them with the profile/account. Chimpal does not store the child’s answer, correctness, location, route, photo, video, audio, score, or selected buddy for this loop.
Production gate
Before launch, counsel must approve the operator/contact details, exact data/vendor disclosures, jurisdictions, retention, and verification method. Only an activated document version may use production agreement/consent copy.
